The implosion date of the west side of Kyle Field is set for Dec. 21, according to a university press release.
Kyle Field will officially become a construction zone approximately two hours after the conclusion of Texas A&M’s last home game Thursday against LSU.
The implosion is set to occur early in the morning, with a more specific time to be announced a week prior.
The West Campus Garage and Blue Bell Park will be closed for private events, however the implosion can be viewed from the Reed Arena lawn and parking lots, as well as from Lot 61.
The stadium is projected to be completed in time for the 2015 football season. The total seating will be 102,512.
