Editorial

After conducting personal interviews with each student body president candidate, The Battalion editorial staff has decided to endorse Logan Nichols for student body president for 2009-2010.
Nichols is a junior agricultural economics major and has been very involved with Texas A&M since his freshman year. He has cited involvement with such groups as Fish Camp, FLOs and Silver Taps. His platform is based on the tiers of enhanced communication, not just seeking out problems, but finding solutions for them, improving campus life by working closely with departments such as residence life, the
Department of Transportation and Dining
Services and expanding upon the concept of shared governance between the administration and the student body.
Nichols was specific with his answers and expressed a genuine interest for A&M and its students. His background with SGA and personable hands-on style of management make him very approachable.
