University police evacuate, search buildings after bomb threat to Kyle Field

Code Maroon issued a safety advisory due to a possible bomb threat at Kyle Field. The stadium and surrounding buildings have been evacuated by University police.

According to a statement by Code Maroon, Kyle Field is being searched due to a bomb threat issued against the facility.

“Law enforcement personnel are working to clear the facility, however, as a precaution the following facilities were also evacuated: Reed Building, G. Rollie White, Neetum Steed, and the Bright Athletics complex,” the update read.

The buildings around Kyle Field are closed for the rest of the day.

Officials have not yet been immediately available for comment.
