Summer Work Outs
Students should not neglect working out during the summer.

For many of us this summer, we don’t have access to a gym. Whether you are studying abroad, working at summer camp, living at home, or just hate the gym – I’m about to take away your excuse that you can’t work out.
These websites offer free workouts that you can do wherever you may be this summer…
Crunched for time? Try bodyrock.tv: Bodyrock is known as the “at home fitness movement”. Monday through Friday they post a new workout that usually lasts around 12 minutes that will leave you exhausted! Most of the workouts are based on HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training), so they make the most of your time. Bodyrock is also on facebook AND they have a free app you can get right from your iphone. So if you are using the “I don’t have time excuse”, suck it up and bodyrock!
Want to bulk up? Try bodybuilding.com: Whether you’re a guy looking to get swoll or a girl looking for some guidance in the weight room, this website is excellent. It offers workout plans for both men and women, which come with instructional videos for how to do each exercise.
Get toned and flexible at blogilates.com: This website features “pop pilates”, videos of pilates workouts to fun pop music! The videos are categorized by body part, so you can easily tone trouble areas or combine a few for a total body workout. When I first heard about Pop Pilates, I didn’t think it would be that challenging, but after just one ab video I was sore for days!
Push yourself with Crossfit: If you are a fitness freak like me, then you have heard of Crossfit. If not, it’s an endurance and strength-building program. There are Crossfit gyms around the country (including College Station!) and they normally cost around $150 a month to join! Luckily, you don’t have to join a gym to get the workouts. The workouts are posted online, and there are a lot of “no equipment” options. To find them, google “crossfit bodyweight” or “crossfit wod”.
HIIT it hard at blog.shareitfitness.com: From 800 calorieburning running plans to HIIT Total Body workouts, this blog is awesome to change up your cardio routine and push yourself.
So now you have NO excuse to not get your workout in this summer. With these websites, you can start your summer slim down or change up your routine to come back in the fall looking great!
