Pennington's heroics propel Aggies to SEC championship game

Walker Pennington forgot his maroon jersey back in College Station prior to Saturday’s semifinal game against Ole Miss, so when he stepped in the batter’s box wearing jersey number 46 instead of his usual number 9, even the most hardcore Texas A&M fans had to wonder who was batting.

As the No. 1 ranked team in the country, A&M entered their Wednesday morning heavyweight bout with Vanderbilt and came out of the corner swinging. The two fighters went punch for punch in a classic postseason contest. A&M and Vanderbilt both took their licks and rolled with them.

In a game earlier this season, Texas A&M catcher Michael Barash made a concerted effort to mimic Boomer White at the plate. He walked up to the plate the same way and tried to go through the same pre-swing ritual as his teammate.

Aggies conclude regular season ranked No.1

Monday morning the final D1Baseball and Baseball America polls were released with the Texas A&M Aggies taking the top spot for the first time since March 28. The Aggies finished the SEC regular season with series wins over No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 9 South Carolina, and No. 11 Ole Miss to take the top spot.

Aggie Tennis' seasons conclude in the second round of the NCAA Tournament

The No. 12 Texas A&M men’s tennis team’s season came to an end after a 4-3 loss to the No. 18 instate rival Texas Longhorns. This match was postponed from Saturday to Sunday due to inclement weather. A&M finished its season with an overall record of 27-10. This is the second most wins in a season under the command of head coach Steve Denton and the fourth most wins in program history.

Aggie softball records much-needed series win over Auburn

Over the weekend, the Aggie softball team got a much-needed series win over the No. 6 Auburn Tigers. Texas A&M took games one and two by scores of 6-5 and 13-6, respectively, and lost game three by a score of 5-4. The Aggies improved their record to 37-17 (9-15 SEC) with the series victory.
