Sports aren't what they used to be. There was a time when children looked up to professional athletes and their parents didn't mind. At one point, cheating was a rare occurrence and athletes, for the most part, seemed like good people.

In a purely political stunt this past week, the extreme left wing hate organization MoveOn.org bought a $100,000 full-page advertisement in the New York Times. Centered on a decorated photograph of General David Petraeus were bolded words reading:"General Petraeus or General Betray Us."

I don't know what sort of traditions you participated in at your high school football stadium on Friday nights, but on Saturday nights at Kyle Field we do not throw plastic beverage lids out of the stands onto the upperclassmen sitting beneath you.
