GALLERY: 2020 Bonfire Remembrance
At 2:42 a.m on Wednesday, Nov. 18 hundreds gathered for the 2020 Bonfire Remembrance. It takes place each year to honor the 12 Aggies who died in the 1999 Bonfire Collapse. The ceremony was also live streamed for those who could not attend in person.

Nearly an hour before the ceremony, Aggies begin to gather around the Spirit Ring to honor the fallen.
Each personalized portal represents one of the 12 fallen Aggies.
Hundreds of students and guests attended the 2020 Bonfire Remembrance ceremony.

Even after the ceremony ended, guests remained by the Spirit Ring to honor the fallen Aggies.
"There's a spirit can ne'er be told" -- one of the lines from "The Spirit of Aggieland" -- is printed on a wall beside the entrance to the Bonfire Memorial.
