Aggie volleyball team sweeps weekend to get back to .500

Following a 0-3 start to the 2008 season, the Texas A&M women's volleyball team returned home and to a .500 record this weekend. The Aggies (3-3) defeated American (2-4), Siena (0-5), and No. 16 BYU (5-1) en route to winning the Texas A&M Invitational Tournament.

Aggies defeat Wake Forest and Virginia Tech
Over the weekend, the No. 11 Texas A&M Women's Soccer team beat Virginia Tech and No. 17 Wake Forest in the Hawthorne Suites Invitational hosted by Virginia Tech in Blacksburg, Va. A&M started the tournament off right on Friday with a 3-1 win over Virginia Tech with goals from junior Cydne Currie and senior Laura Grace Robinson In the 26th minute, Currie notched the first goal of the game with assist from freshman Rebecca Herrera.
