Franchione steps down as head football coach
Dennis Franchione resigned as Texas A&M's head football coach immediately following the Aggies 38-30 win over the 13th-ranked Texas Longhorns Saturday evening.
In a statement, Franchione said the decision to step down stems from his respect of the players and other individuals in the organization.
