TAMU Biodefense official resigns after CDC ban

In the wake of the Centers For Disease Control and Prevention's (CDC) rebuke of Texas A&M's biodefense research program, Brent Mattox, resigned from his position as Biosafety Director on Friday. In his written resignation, Mattox said that he and his staff had made the university a safer place and that he regrets having to resign.

CDC publishes investigation report, warns Texas A&M of indefinite ban

Texas A&M University will not be allowed to resume biodefense research after the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention conducted a federal investigation in July on the University's failure to report lab workers who were exposed to dangerous biological agents in 2006.
