Women's golf wins Big 12 championship

For the second consecutive year, the Texas A&M women's golf team is the Big 12 champion. The winning score was 911 overall strokes at the Big 12 tournament, which was played from Monday to Wednesday in Waco.

Students across the nation declare Friday
From Facebook groups to blog posts to simple word of mouth, college students throughout the United States are telling each other to wear maroon and orange on Friday. In an effort to show support of Virginia Tech by colleges across the country, students are calling April 20, 2007, "Orange and Maroon Effect Day," named after an athletic promotion similar to Texas A&M's "Maroon Out.

Texas A&M Student Senators Jimmy Widmer and Kristina Campbell introduced a resolution to the Student Senate during the 59th session on April 11 that calls for a campaign to educate A&M students on the importance of health insurance.
