The cadets of Delta Company, known as "Desert Rats" to the other outfits, have formed a new addition to the Texas A&M Corps of Cadets, said Joe Gonzales, a senior history major.

"Ol' Army Al," as many cadets have come to know him, can be seen at nearly every Corps formation, morning and night.

Seventeen life-size silhouettes lined the walls of the Pebble Creek Country Club ballroom Thursday night, representing just a small sample of the hundreds of Texas victims who have lost their lives this past year because of domestic violence.

Thursday afternoon was one of the few times red, black and burnt orange were all represented on Texas A&M's campus, said Anne Blum, the director of the Office of Professional School Advising.
