Sophomore telecommunications media studies major and former Battalion staff writer Matthew Malone was admitted to the College Station Medical Center with serious injuries after being involved in a traffic accident on George Bush East and Kyle streets Friday afternoon, police say.

Campus briefs$50,000 given for Corps scholarship
James R. (Bob) English Jr. '46 of Dallas has given $50,000 to the Marijo and James R. (Bob) English, Jr. '46 General Rudder Corps Scholarship to benefit students in the Corps of Cadets. English graduated from Texas A&M in 1946 with a degree in economics.
