On March 16, President Bush nominated Paul Wolfowitz to be the leader of the highly-influential World Bank. Let me start by saying that I was part of the Corps of Cadets and I am proud of it. Also, I understand why some non-regs may be upset by all Corps yell leaders.

I am confused as to how Ms. Mayberry bases her claim that the "yell elections don't represent Aggies."

We all stand united as one student body singing, "True to each other as Aggies can be." Funny how we can sing these words with such pride and confidence, but they fail to apply to this year's SBP elections.

As a former participant of Shackathon, I highly commend the efforts of everyone involved in raising awareness and money for the poor. Keep up the good work!

I was offended to read that Ms. Mayberry doesn't think the yell elections represent the student body. Not only did she imply that Corps members' first allegiance is to the Corps rather than to A&M, but she also belittled the fact that the Corps candidates won the election fair and square.

As a member of the Class of 2003 and as a graduate student of TAMU, I am both proud of and disappointed in the current SBP election. I am proud of the passion and determination that the student body has exhibited in becoming literate of candidates' platforms, experiences and leadership qualifications.

The death of Terri Schiavo is without a doubt a tragedy, but to say justice was not served and that she was murdered is simply not fair.
