Children left behindDisadvantaged students are overlooked by President Bush's education plan
Perhaps President George W. Bush's greatest masterpiece in social reform is the No Child Left Behind Act, or at least he seems to see it as such. Bush's interest in public education reform is commendable, but he fails to see the contradiction in his concept and his means to the end.

Journalists must use caution when reporting military facts
In a recent article in "New Yorker" magazine, journalist Seymour Hersh published crucial information about the general location and purpose of U.S. Special Forces and those they are working with. Hersh intended his article as a sensational criticism of political decisions made by President Bush and Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld. Hersh is entitled to express his political opinion, but he has no right to publish an article that jeopardizes brave American commandos.
