Women, minority Corps enrollment increases
The number of cadets has decreased over the past two years, but women and minority membership has increased and the cadets' academic performance has improved, according to a report released to the Faculty Senate on Monday afternoon. Corps Commandant Gen. John Van Alstyne, who issued the report, said there are currently 1,782 Corps members, down from 2,018 cadets in the 2002-2003 scholastic year.

The Texas Aggienauts will present its semester-long design for a space vehicle cargo and stowage system to NASA and the Texas Space Grant Consortium (TSGC) on Nov. 18 and 19, hoping to replace the current system. The six-member team consists of a mix of freshmen, sophomores and a faculty adviser.

SSFAB recommends raising fees, budget cuts
Texas A&M's child care center, the MSC, Aggie Nights and Student Financial Aid may face budget cuts if the Student Service Fee Advisory Board (SSFAB) has its way. The SSFAB recommended raising the student service fee (SSF) to the current cap of $150, avoiding the student referendum that would be required to raise the fee past the cap.
