Adult video store forced to close
College Station's Adult Video store on Texas Ave., has been forced to shut its doors due to re-zoning laws and charges of racketeering, obscenity, fraud and income tax evasion by the federal government. Located across the street from campus near one of the busiest intersections in College Station, Adult Video stood as a highly visible landmark.

Forum discusses future of dining center
Members of the Student Government Student Services Committee (SSC), Residence Hall Association (RHA?), Texas A&M officials and students met at a forum held in the basement dining area of the Commons, known as the "dungeon," to discuss the immediate and the long-term future of the struggling cafeteria.

Speaker addresses 'threat' of Islam
Imam Siraj Wahhaj, currently the Imam of Masjid Al-Taqwa in Brooklyn, New York, spoke at the Memorial Student Center Tuesday night about whether Islam was a threat to America. "Is Islam a threat to America?" Wahhaj said. "Absolutely. The question is who is it a threat to?" Wahhaj said Islam was a threat to the numerous ailments of Western society including prostitution, drugs and crime.

Career Center sponsors grad school workshop
The Career Center is sponsoring a workshop on applying to graduate school, Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. in Koldus 111. This workshop will consist of a panel of experts who will step students through the graduate school search, test preparation, application, interview and the decision-making processes.
