MSC president may become elected office
A referendum will appear on this spring's student body election ballots that may determine if the Memorial Student Center president will be elected instead of appointed. The Student Senate passed the MSC President Referendum Bill at its meeting March 10. This decision was introduced by a record coalition of 18 senators and is the result of strong and widespread student demands that the Student Senate could no longer ignore, said Matthew Wilkins, speaker of the Student Senate.

A&M to enhance campus over next five decades through Master Plan
Texas A&M officials have determined that the campus needs a makeover-a huge makeover.During the next five decades, major expansion will be taking place all over the campus as the University tries to compensate for expected climbs in enrollment, said Campus Master Plan Committee officials.

Open forum emphasizes leadership
Everyone, everywhere is a role model or should try to be, said Dom Capers, head coach of the Houston Texans, at the Annenberg Presidential Leadership Conference Center Monday night at the George Bush Presidential Library. McCaig focuses on financial responsibility
Mark McCaig, a junior accounting major and president and founder of Student Government Association Watch, is running for student body president on a platform of financial accountability. "Right now, the SGA itself gets $160,000 on investments, and I don't think the student body is getting a return on that investment," McCaig said.

FDA urges monitoring for antidepressant users
WASHINGTON - Doctors who prescribe some popular antidepressants should monitor their patients closely for warning signs of suicide, especially when they first start the pills or change a dose, the government warned Monday. The Food and Drug Administration asked makers of 10 drugs to add or strengthen suicide-related warnings on their labels.
