Senator takes key victory for GOP

Several prominent websites and news outlets have predicted that incumbent Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, has won the general election for U.S. Senate against his opponent, Texas State Representative Rick Noriega.

Cornyn's victory marks the beginning of his second term.
