The MSC that apathy built?

How can it be said that apathy built the MSC? I realize that the turnout was pathetic, but doesn't that indicate that the voting dates were not well publicized? If I had to guess, I would say that students, especially those of us who are paying for school out of our own pockets, are not apathetic about spending even more money on a building that will be torn up for most of our college careers. I heard about the renovations twice - each time from a friend. I rarely head to the MSC and, from what I have heard, that was about the only area where the voting was publicized. I have no doubt that there are people who really do not care, but it is not fair for you to claim that apathy built the MSC.
