Hmm, I must respectfully disagree, at least a bit, with the Writer, as he has neglected to mention the all-important Improvement Factor--an Aggie staple--which could yet appear over the next few Saturdays. Looking back, Jackie Sherrill & Coach Fran were each staring at First Seasons that looked far more 'uphill' than this one, and still managed 4 or 5 home wins, each. So there's still loads of space for Hope, and we should therefore replace the 'will' pronoun in the article with 'might', while hoping for better.

I must agree with MatthieuDF. It is one thing to state the obvious: the Aggies fight an uphill battle. It is another to completely give up all hope.

While we are all disappointed with the start of the season, I think we owe our team and our new coach more than 3 games before we give up on them.

Just my 2 cents...

I think the writer is correct. Rather than hoping for a miracle turn around and expecting the worst, we should take comfort in watching some fine young players emerging. I think they will Jeff Fuller, Jerrod Johnson, and possibly Matt Featherston. We're going to see the O-line develop.

It's a pleasure to watch Michael Bennett on any day, home or away. There is plenty of good product on the field to keep up my interest. Gig 'em Aggies.

I wouldn't give up hope just yet, but it is bad to see your team get beat like that. I have been to 2 games already this year, and I have seen a lot or promise in this team as well as some of the bad. New coaching unit or not, there's no way A&M should lose to Arkansas Light. Yes, I know this is the same team that lost 21-13 to t.u. Even then, we should have won 14-13. Our defense couldn't stop them and we couldn't get anything going in the second half. After the 3rd quarter in which we were only able to get 17 yards of total offense, the coaches should have made a QB change. Sherman said his loyalty was to Texas A&M and not to any of his QBs. During that 4th quarter, Johnson should've been starting at QB and not WR. During the Miami game, our defense couldn't do much of anything. We got away too early from the run. I think Goodson was averaging about 5 yards a run. Miami just had better athletes and we were outcoached. It's going to be a long season, and I'm hoping we can finish up 6-6 at least. We should be able to Army this week, then beat Kansas State, Iowa State, Colorado, and Baylor.

Wow you're a freakin genius mr. cox. Thanks for stating the complete obvious. It never occurred to me that our record at home is going to be bad this season. I mean, we're 0-2 right now and have a lot harder teams yet to play at home. But not until you pointed it out did I realize this.
