Well another victory comes as no surprise since Nebraska is another week team in Big 12. As usual A & M utilized at least three plays Mcgee and Lane. No passing attack and pass defense the same old story. What will happen if Mcgee gets hurt (almost happened)it will be the end of the season. Fortunetely which I knew with (2) week teams playing no telvision coverage. I quit listening to the ball game after half time. Unable to withstand the voices of double Daves (South and Elmendorf)what ameutures. I know Fran will be gone after season ends and I hope Double Daves will join the bandwagon. Guess who we are playing next week Undefeated Kansas I wonder how many offensive plays we will utilize at least five. That may be to many for the coaches ability. Unfortunately I will be at the game One consulation prize I do not have to listen to the double daves.

Don't you mean "weak" team?

Don't we require "spelling" a A&M these days?!?

Is it just me, or does anyone else see something wrong with a quarterback leading the team in rushing when you have two of the best running backs in the nation? I thought McGee was brought to TAMU to throw the ball, but it's painfully obvious he does not possess that ability. I feel sorry for Bennett who's stats are lacking due to McGee not being able to deliver an accurate ball. Plus, he's hurting Goodson and Lane's stats by not being a legit threat to beat teams with the pass. I am not doubting McGee's toughness or willingness to lead, but in plain terms he's a horrible quarterback. Great leader, decent runner, sub-par quarterback. I don't know if Jarrod Johnson is the answer, but I think Fran doesn't want to put him out there for fear that the cries of the fans for a qb change may have been exactly what TAMU needed all along.

Actually McGee is a decent passer. He came to A&M highly touted for his passing ability, the problem is he's not coached to pass. The Aggie passing game has always been secondary to the running game, which is too bad considering we have one of the best (if not THE best) TEs in the nation in Martellus Bennet. The problem with the passing game is the the recieving corps is weak, I have lost count on the number of dropped balls I've seen this year; as a result of the weak recieving corps our offense has had to rely more on the run and McGee is forced to be a runner, not a passer. Even if McGee had a great receiving corps he would still be a mediocre passer because he has just not had experience in a "passing offense" like Grahm Harrell or Chase Daniels. I will say that I have never seen a quick drop-and-throw from McGee to Bennet not produce at least 4 yards every time. Sometimes it seems like the only pass plays Fran knows how to call are either desperation "bombs" or passes that go to Goodson on the flat, behind the line and end up gaining negative yardage. When Fran calls plays that utilize our intermediate passing game as well as our talented runners the Aggie O is as good as anyone in the Big 12 and will open up oprtunities for converting big yardage pass plays.

And now we play the RANKED teams. McGee rushed 35 times for 167 yards and Goodson rushed for 32 yards. What we did to Nebraska, then ranked the 109th total defense in the country, is what Coach Fran was paid to do against Miami, Fresno State, OSU, UT and OU. Now we play the 9th BCS ranked Kansas Jayhawks before going on the road against #4 ranked OU (Fran is 0-4) and #13 ranked Missouri before finishing at home to #19 Texas (whom Fran's Ags have never beat in Aggieland). Post your comments on the Kansas University's web site at www.Kansan.com and keep your fingers cross this Saturday.

Kansas was considered lowest team in the east like Baylor is to the west. Look at them now full grown and rearing to go. A & M has there work cut out for them for the week end game. The four offensive plays have got to go out the door and inprovement of pass offense and defense and that isn't going to happen overnight with our great coaching staff. I think A & M has to develop the same power as a 20 mule/horse team. I hate to say this but its going to take a miracle for a victory.

My concern is that we have no defensive secondary, but why should I be surprised, we haven't had one since 1976. If we want to win against the big boys then we had better learn how to stop the pass.

It's pretty difficult to stop the pass when top recruits are bailing on us because of the actions of our Lame Duck Coach (see Strong Safety Craig Loston from Eisenhower in Houston). The common denominator of the Aggie difficulties rests in the coaching staff. Get rid of Fran, win some games. Keep him and he'll continue to run our beloved Aggie football program into the ground.

1) Many teams run 2 point conversions in games when it doesn't matter so that the offense can practice the conversion against a real opposing defense (instead of just their own), why else would you do it because... 2) do you really think one whole point is such a big deal (it's not like we're trying to impress BCS voters)? and 3)You beat A&M in football... what an accomplishment... can you try and move on?... how about we talk about what happened in Missouri THIS Saturday... as usual you Tech folks get all excited about beating us and end up as "Lame Duck #1"...

if you think we aren't throwing enough, ask the 1970-1999 Nebraska Cornhuskers if they threw it enough? Arguably the best team ever (1994-1995 team), this "offense" simply ran a few triple option and wishbone formations on offense and the occasional pass to keep the secondary honest.

Now I'm not defending our coaching staff for their horrible efforts against rivals, good teams, and teams in bowl games (2-18? now with a win against Nebraska and Texas, with a loss to EVERYONE ELSE!!!), but sometimes less is more... especially if you have three great runners in Lane, Goodson, and McGee.

As far as I am concerned, do not throw it but 5-10 times each game if you can run almost 400 yards a game...

Hey, the Aggies are bowl eligible!!! :D Coach Fran's goal for '07 has been achieved!

Now he can relax and spend the rest of the year on his resume. Let the team and the 12th Man take it from here and we'll win even more. Lookin' good, Ags!

Why can't ya'll just be happy for the team and be a TRUE Aggie. You know, yell "Farmer's Fight!" when our boys are backed up. Ever heard of true to each other as Aggies can be? What ever happened to The Spirit of Aggieland or The 12th Man. Mr. Gill would turnover in his grave if he could hear some of the things ya'll say. It makes me sick listening to all you people complain about our passing game. If any of you have ever played football then you know you go with what is working. Why fix something that isn't broken? Statistics show McGee is one of the best. How many passes had he thrown without an INT? I'd like to see any one of you do that!! Not a single person on that team complains, gripes, or bitches about getting the ball. They do what it takes to win! Our record is 6 wins and two losses, not the other way around. If you ever come across a Red Raider ask them how many SWC, Big 12 South Championships, or Big 12 Championships thier team has and the two that they have THEY SHARED!! And why am I hearing people compare Jerrod Johnson to Vince Young? He's a t-sip! That right there makes JJ better than Young by default. GIG'EM AGGIES!

Ummm... David, calm down. I'm not too fond of the fact that VY went to Texas, but to be honest, he's a good QB. Him and Texas' winning (and OU) in the last few years have been the only thing making the Big 12 a decent conference. TAMU is a top-tier football program and you are seriously delusional if you think our program "ain't broke". The Ags have been downgraded to mediocre at best. Bottom line is that coaches are paid to win. These students are getting a free education by playing football. I went to TAMU on an academic scholarship, and you can best believe that if I didn't perform in the classroom, it would have been revoked. You say we don't need a passsing game? Tech and Miami showed what happens when our run game is taken away... GAME OVER! He's a QUARTERBACK, throw the ball. Lastly we need to stop hating Texas and just cheer for our team. When it comes to Texas teams, it's sad to say that we are #3 behind Texas and Tech. Too much money is being spent on facilities, television deals, and tickets for us to be blown out and embarrassed against top-tier schools. I went to the Miami game from Houston and although I stayed to the end, I was embarrassed and hurt. I love the Ags, but we need to get it together.

Next time if you are going to let the brainwashing speak for you please have a tissue ready. We could careless, but you probably dont care because I am not a "true aggie" whatever the hell that is. I know its hard to get past the extreme brainwashing it took me a year or so. There is a whole other world outside A&M. Those of us who have graduated know that. This is about a football team that starts almost every year ranked. Then as the season comes to a close embarrasses the school. Like the past few years we cant even blame it on not having the talent as we have had some of the best recruiting in the nation. That leaves one place for the blame to fall, coaching. Dont start saying statistics make Mcgee a great QB. Statistics could make me a great QB. If you really watch the game instead of yelling for people to uncover, hump it, 2 percenter, or whatever else you morons decide to yell you would see why he doesnt have that many INT per completion. 1) the obvious doesnt throw the ball 2) when he does throw the ball its that damn pass out to the flats for a loss 3) you are an idiot, doesnt apply but needed to be said. #3 was for your comment on JJ being better than Vince because he is an aggie. Oh and the reason Young is a great QB is because coaching. If you will recall Reggie and Vince were damn near on the same page entering the college ranks. HHMMM anyone see what I see. Lastly a piece of advice, when you graduate to avoid getting laughed at in the real world you might learn that it is UT not tu or t-sip.

Now I know I may get bombarded by you red-asses, but if all this tech crap has taught you anything, you morons look rediculous chasing after someone who doesnt give a crap about you. Yes its good to have a rival but dont be so dumb about it saying texas is our only rival.

An aggie fan and alum should not be happy with a coach that lied to us and cheated by giving away secrets to make money. We support the players by standing and yelling. Maybe you should wake up from your blind hate and realize that 1) we support the team 100% (the ones at the game), and 2) we can also not support the coaches. Oh and if JJ is half of what VY is as a leader and QB, then we will win a big 12 title for sure.

You must have not been around during the R.C. years, when we fired him for a mediocre 7-5 season, even after beating #1 OU in 2003... now I guess it's ok to accept 6 wins as success... no thank you in my book.

Guess what David, I'm one of the few aggies calling for Major Applewhite to be the new head coach... that's right... a longhorn coaching an aggie. I mean you don't seem upset that some of our coaching staff used to work at t.u.

I want him for two reasons... 1) stealing another coach from Alabama means we can make that a tradition (hold the laughter), and 2) He's a talented, young coach.... especially one that would want revenge on Mack Brown for benching him for Baby Sims.
