We may not know whether the chicken came before the egg, but we all know A&M came before College Station, not the other way around. If you disenfranchise the college students, you lose. You lose their support, and more importantly, you lose their business. Go ask any small business owner how important college students are to their business, you will get the same answer to all of them. As a college student, small business owner, and permanent resident of college station, I understand the importance of working with other members of the community. One final note to all land owners, You are in one of the best real estate market in the country. If you disenfranchise the college students, THAT WILL CHANGE. So maybe you should look past tomorrow, and past your front yard, and realize the world you live in, cause it is quite obvious that Joe hasn't.
Joe: If non violent protest (and no "chanting slogans in the hallway" is not violence) makes you a bad neighbor, then our country is F***ed, cause apparently free speech no longer applies.
