Why I can't even recognize the new logo it's so different. What is that supposed to be again? I can't tell.
Sarcasm aside, this seems like a win for Kalcorp.

Honestly, it takes THAT long to come up with a settlement like this?! Am I the only one who sees this as pointless? It's not more distinguishable; I will still associate it specifically with t.u. 'nuff said.

anyone notice how many of the bevo's, i'm not sure if the current one does, have white blazes?
google "bevo" and check the images, almost all of them either have white heads or a white blaze...this just makes them more alike...

While that may be true, tu has trademarked their logo - which let's be honest - the saw 'em off t-shirts and window stickers DO infringe. The subtle change satisfies both parties. Now if they could just figure out a cool way to mock the gay rider from Tech...THAT shirt will outsell the saw em off ones.

A fitting line from the movie, Pure Country:
Ernest Tucker stated, "The funny thing about that little white speck on the top of chicken s**t. That little white speck is chicken s**t too."

C'mon Ags,
what seperates the different levels in excellence is normally a result of the level of class in participation. Let the other levels do as they wish. Money does not buy class, it is achieved. To willfully disgrace another's logo is in poor taste. I truly believe we are better than this.

Is that Class of '85 Princeton? Get over yourself Ivy League. Sawing the horns off a logo is just rivalry fun. You should only worry about "poor taste" when f-bombs are dropped on national TV (I'm lookin' at you, Tech).

Does anyone else find it funny that t.u. decided to hit Aggieland Outfitters with this lawsuit the week after we beat them in Austin for the first time since '94? I thought only Aggies where supposed to be the ones all hung up on the rivaly and t-sips didn't really care...

As a parent with three kids in college I wonder if the Regents at tu might be better served to not take on worthless litigation over a sour grapes logo issue and spend that money on something more important, like reducing overall costs and tuition.

Hmmm, says the supporter of the school who sues every team that dares use "12th Man".
D'oh.

well seeing as "12th Man" is a registered trade mark of Texas A&M. The schools and sports teams that were using "12th Man" were making money off of the trade mark. That is just illegal. It is up to the officals that own that trademark to argue its use. And if another assocation was using my property to make a buck, I would be upset about it as well. The Saw 'em Off logo is an altered version of the tu logo. I personally don't think that anyone would confuse the two, and that the tu lawyers were generally upset about other issues and decided to take action after the fact. This logo has been around for over 12 years now and Austin is not that far away from CStat to see all the logos that aledgedly "slander" their logo. I think the settlement was a win for Aggieland outfitters, they get to keep most of the integrety of their logo and it is just a good conversation starter to bash tu :).

I'm for anything that shuts this guy down. I'm not sure if anyone had ever noticed but all he does is produce shirts without copyrights. He does this specifically to avoid paying roylaties to TAMU Or anyone else, remember the 'stros shirts) - and those monies are used for scholarships. What a cheat.

Personally, I just don't understand why it is necessary to insult one school to promote another. If you like A&M, Baylor, Tech, and so on...just adorn your vehicle/body in a positive promotion of your school! I don't think it says a lot of the person's character to make fun of others....rivalries are great, but lets keep them positive. I think the whole 'saw 'em off' and insults to Tech are in extremely poor taste.
