Thank you for reminding us of this important historical reminder and perspective. It took freedom loving Americans over 11 years to transition from a Declaration of Independence from our tyrranical government to function as one nation operating under a ratified Constitution. That said, are people insisting that the same task be completed in Iraq in 7 years uninformed or unrealistic?

It's unrealistic because Islam is incompatible with Western ideals and values like classical liberalism, individuality, and reason.
