If you make a legal right turn you do not get a ticket.

yeah, so don't let your irresponsible roommate drive your vehicle. the tickets are dated and time stamped so you would have a prett ygood idea if they were using the vehicle then or not.

The ticket will be mailed to the address the truck is registered to. Once you get it, one of the options is to send it back with the option check saying you weren't driving. You provide the information to contact who you allege was driving and a ticket gets mailed to them. If they deny it, then you are stuck with it. So hopefully your friend would confess and not stick you with it.

A more helpful article for The Batt to run would be FAQ about how the ticket system works.

Nick Adams, those more dangerous intersections are mostly in the Texas Avenue construction zone so they didn't want to put them there until the work was done. If the program is successful there will be cameras at Texas/Bush, and Texas/Holleman

No Jay, you do not get a ticket if your roommate is driving your truck. You can fight it (just like any other traffic ticket) and prove that you weren't driving the truck. But, if you have no evidence, you are stuck with the ticket. So, don't let anyone drive your truck unless you trust them =]

Why is there only one camera at each of the four intersections? Does that mean people going towards the camera will not get a ticket if they run a red light?

Instead of saying "stop at red lights every time to avoid a citation," how about saying, "stop at red lights every time to avoid a crash."

Or better yet, "stop at red lights because it the law."

Why does the batt not mention that this "violation" is not a moving violation, but a civil offense?

In fact, how can running a red light in view of a police officer be more dangerous than running the same light in view of a camera? The punishment says it is.

These cameras are a joke and just the next step toward a George Orwell novel. If safety was a concern, light timing (yellow length and the "all red") would be longer and a more proactive measure could be used to prevent people from entering an intersection at a red light.

It's all about $$$ for the city.

I think it'd be cool if they had a countdown on the lights. So, when it turns green, it has numbers that countdown until the Yellow - "30, 29, 28...,1" then Yellow where it could show "3,2,1" and then just Red. This would let people know who are coming, before the yellow, that they better stop if they see the Green countdown at 4 or something. I've seen this at pedestrian crosswalks in other cities, and I like it.

But, Ames brought up a good question (Why are the cameras on only side the street?). I don't know the answer, but I hope someone does. It doesn't make sense if they really are after safety.
