This reads like a poor stand-up comedy routine, I know the Battalion is low on staff members, but for this to pass the test is a little insulting to me. We're students at a higher-education university, just challenge yourselves to write to a higher level than taking the easy way out and poking fun at something obvious in not-so-clever ways.

Why is it that people who can't write creatively criticize those who can. James did an incredible job writing this opinion piece. He damn near accurately described the process of walking to the MSC at times like these, and yes, sometimes campaigners seem like they would attempt a conversation despite the rabid weasel attached to your throat.
If you think you can do better, you said so yourself, the Batt is understaffed. Turn in your own work from now on.

I agree. I vote this man as editor-in-chief of the Batt, he sounds like he knows what he's doing; seriously.
To the others, newspapers are about journalism, not creative writing.

This is a good article that covers the main points that these candidates and their followers do. I would avoid the MSC at all costs during those times and when I had a mailbox there I wouldn't get my mail until the wee-hours of the morning.
The candidates should have a spot somewhere else besides the MSC where people that actually want to know about the candidates can go to rather than forcing people to listen to their speeches. To think that they're trying to interrupt you on a phone call or talking to the person next to you is downright rude and is definitely not the Aggie way.
