As an A&M graduate and local business owner, I'm extremely disappointed that Texas A&M is needlessly no longer in contention as a site for the biodefense research lab. The failure to follow reporting requirements seems so basic and fundamental. One has to wonder what the responsible parties were thinking. The local economic impact would have been huge. What a shame that the community will loose out on the much needed professional jobs and the hundreds of millions of dollars that the facility would have brought into our community over the next few decades. Shame, Shame, Shame!

I find that it's even more of a shame to see a college graduate and local business owner confuse the words "lose" and "loose" while simultaneously chastising others for failing to complete more complex tasks. You're not perfect either so don't go pointing the finger. Shame, shame, shame...

I fail to see a proper comparison between a single word typo and a failure to report employee exposure to bio-toxins, which is clearly a more serious and I would argue not a complex matter. Surely the young and bright Mr. McLaughlin would agree that the two mistakes, while mistakes, do not carry equal weight.
