People who ride bicycles also need to pay attention to the traffic; they dart out in front of vehicles and almost get hit accidently. It is hard to see you at night when you ride without a light. You think you would be in trouble if you hit a pedistrian; think about a driver who never saw you. All things can be potential hazards; ride bicycles with caution.
Also, all bicyclists must follow the same law that auto drivers follow.
1. stop at stop signs
2. stop at red lights
3. observe right of ways

Believe me, I'd love to follow UPD's advice about locking my bike to a bike rack. However, if anyone would kindly notice, 95% of all the bike racks on campus are completely full during the day. High-demand buildings like the MSC and Blocker could easily have two to three times the number of rack spaces and still be completely full.
This is a blatant problem. This has been a blatant problem for the last four years I've been on campus, and I'm sure it was a problem before then. A&M powers-that-be, PLEASE get serious about dramatically increasing the amount of bike rack space on campus. Put some of our money obtained through frivolous bicycle citations to good use.
Thanks and gig 'em.

Seriously, the lack of bike racks is just asking for bikes to be stolen. I really hope TS fixes this.

Transportation Services control the number of bike racks at any given building on campus. If the need for more bike racks exist (it does), then TS needs to be notified about it.
Any monies derived from citations given by UPD for bicycle/vehicle/criminal violations goes to Brazos County, not to Texas A&M.
