It is about time to cut the fat and give students a break. President makes almost half a million dollar and gets to live in a mansion without any charge or utilities payments! You know how many Aggies can go to college with this saving!!!!

Hey by that logic, Lets get rid of all the faculty salaries as well. Imagine the savings there. You don't cut off the nose to spite your face. A&M is one of the largest educational institutions in this country. It cannot operate without a president. They tried it once before decades ago and it was too complex then. Guess what? The organization has become even more complex.
