Candidates counting on Texas | Huckabee portrays himself as the conservative Republican candidate in hope of gaining votes in Texas
Abstract:
Mike Huckabee may be a Baptist preacher and former Arkansas governor struggling to find a foothold with delegates and fundraising, but he took to the stage at Texas A&M in rock star style....

If Mike wins Texas everything changes! He will then almost certainly have the necessary momentum to take the race to a brokered convention.
Notice how the MSM never tell you this -- instead we hear it is 'impossible' for him to win! McCain is part of the establishment and we are being told to elect him. Unfortunately too many people are sheep, but I believe a huge number of Texans will vote from conviction. We could very well see a massive shock on Tuesday with a win for Mike in Texas!

I, too, believe the media and GOP establishment want to force a candidate on us. The system is rigged with many "winner take all" in the initial primaries, so that other states will be out of play. I don't think it mere coincidence that they wanted all this over with BEFORE Texas. As the tourism ads claim---"It's a whole other country". Texas truly has more diversity than any other state with large minority populations, the second largest overall population with many rural conservatives, and three of the ten most populated cities in the U.S. We sure don't want that state to help us decide on the Republican nominee! I say spend more time researching the candidates and less time listening to what the cable news pundits and talk show hosts tell you. They have a vested interest in the outcome. Remember who gives them their paycheck. I'm glad we still have some people willing to buck the system which is trying to squeeze every buck it can out of the working class. I'm backing Mike Huckabee all the way to a brokered convention!

If they put one-quarter of this material on the natianal tv stations, this race would be a land-slide for Mike Huckabee. Now you know why they want to bridle him. He's a brillant leader.

This is so true, Dan. I get so weary of listening to the same old thing about the same people, so I just turn off the tv and read comments. Great comment!!!!!

I was excited to see Huckabee on the cover of the Battalion... it is big news, after all, but I feel like there were some things misrepresented. When he talked about combining the Department of Defense and Homeland Security positions being combined by someone very capable, I imagine that he was insinuating Dr. Gates (since he is at A&M and all!). And I know that we are trying to maintain "impartiality" and all this, but seriously, the use of the word "portray" repeatedly in reference to Mike Huckabee's conservative views just makes me think the author of this anything but impartial.
