Texas A&M students will be able to get into Tuesday's and Wednesday's games of the preseaon NIT Tournament in Reed Arena. Because the games are part of the Dick's Sporting Goods NIT Tip-Off Tournament, admission is not covered by students' all-sports passes.

But, according to several local news outlets, Aggie men's basketball Head Coach Mark Turgeon reportedly paid $10,000 to purchase admission for A&M students. Students planning to attend the game need only to swipe their student ID at the door.

The Texas A&M Athletic Department is encouraging students to attend the Aggies' game against Oral Roberts at 8 p.m. on Tuesday and the following game on Wednesday. The games will not be a part of the online ticket lottery system typically used for men's basketball games, but students will receive credit towards their lottery account.

Donations to A&M athletic endeavors by a head coach is not a foreign concept to the Athletic Department. In June 2005, football Head Coach Dennis Franchione donated $1 million to help fund the construction of the McFerrin Indoor Practice Complex.
