The votes are in: MSC renovation approved

Texas A&M Election officials announced late Thursday night that the University Center fee increase, meant to provide funds for proposed renovations to the Memorial Student Center and Koldus building, has passed.

The fee increase won approval with 68% of almost 6200 voters.

It is a good day, but only a small victory that I think, in time, history will prove it to be the correct decision.

I'm just glad that since it passed they won't charge students groups and arm and a leg to use MSC rooms and facilities...

sad is right. its a MEMORIAL. you dont renovate MEMORIALS.

That's exactly what students at TAMU need: 1) more fees attached to the ever-expanding student fee list and 2) the renovation of a MEMORIAL...what is next? VOTE TO RENOVATE THE BONFIRE MEMORIAL to make it more modern? Upsetting to say the least. (Continued…)

I know. When I visited A&M, I never once thought, wow, this school is good except for their MSC. It really could use updating. NO! Well the student leaders definitely made sure that the sheep followed. (Continued…)
