Gracia neighborhood: Depending on the day, after school activities vary greatly. One Friday consisted of walking about Gracia, a neighborhood in Barcelona my friends and I had yet to explore. Gracia has a much older feel than the area where I live. Whereas 22Barcelona has wide roads and a skyline, Gracia has narrow roads, intricate architecture and many international influences. These give Gracia a unique, traditional feel. After a late lunch and plenty of good shopping, I began the trek back to my side of town for an evening group project meeting. (I'm so far from Texas A&M, yet the relentless group projects still exist.)

Sunset: Once finally finished with a day's worth of schoolwork, plenty of shopping and miles of walking, it's always nice to climb to the top of my residence's rooftop lounge and watch the sunset over Barcelona. It's here on the rooftop that my friends and I come to talk about our day, make plans for dinner and decide where the night might lead. Sunset photo courtesy of Maya Oren. ¡Saludos desde Barcelona!
