A long regular season has come to an end, and postseason awards are beginning to come out for collegiate baseball. Monday afternoon, four Aggies were named to the all-SEC baseball team by the league’s coaches.

Mitchell Nau was the only Aggie named to the first team. Nau has had a very impressive season, posting a team leading .377 batting average, also leading the team in doubles (14), and is tied for the team best in RBI’s (45).

Logan Taylor, Nick Banks and pitcher Grayson Long were all named to the all-SEC second team.

Taylor has been the power threat for A&M, hitting 10 home runs on the season, and is tied with Nau for the most RBI’s on the team with 45. He has also been hitting .355 over the course of the campaign.

Banks was a preseason all-American, and now finishes the season with all-SEC honors as well. He has been one of the most consistent A&M hitters, hitting .371 with 39 RBI’s.

Long has been the Aggie ace on the mound. He has garnered a 9-0 record, boasting a 2.59 ERA in 80 innings pitched this year. Long also leads the team with 90 strikeouts.

These four Aggies will continue the campaign in Hoover, Alabama during the SEC Tournament.
