LOS ANGELES (AP) - The star of ''The Human Stain'' has a new spot on Hollywood Boulevard. Anthony Hopkins, who stars in the film adaptation of Philip Roth's novel about a disgraced academic's fling with a janitor (played by Nicole Kidman), received a star Wednesday on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Hopkins, 65, won an Academy Award as the cannibalistic genius Hannibal Lecter in ''The Silence of the Lambs,'' and also played the killer in the thrillers ''Hannibal'' and ''Red Dragon.'' As a young actor living in England, Hopkins said he aspired to become a Hollywood star. He described the Walk of Fame ceremony as the culmination of those hopes. ''This is synonymous with the dreamland of the movie business, and that's where I always wanted to come,'' Hopkins told the crowd gathered at the ceremony in front of the Kodak Theatre, home of the annual Oscars telecast. The celebrity guests included his ''Silence of the Lambs'' co-star Jodie Foster.
