The Aggie volleyball team is riding a three-game winning streak into Wednesday's match with the Kansas Jayhawks. The Aggies have won four of their last five matches, while Kansas enters the match on a three-game losing streak.
The Aggies have already matched their 2006 Big 12 win total with five victories, and with 16 total victories they are guaranteed a winning record.
The Jayhawks are 10-11 in 2007 with a 3-8 mark in Big 12 play. They are 1-4 on the road in conference play after losing in three games at Nebraska over the weekend.
The Aggies are 16-6 for the season and 5-6 in the conference coming off a three-game sweep of Texas Tech on Saturday and can achieve a .500 record in the Big 12 with a victory.
A&M leads the all-time series with Kansas 20-4 including a 3-0 sweep of the Jayhawks on Oct. 6 by a score of 30-26, 30-25, 30-19.
The Aggies .280 hitting percentage is No. 11 in the nation and they average almost 16 kills per game. Junior Jillian Phillips leads A&M with a .389 personal hitting percentage, which is No. 24 in the NCAA. Sophomore Mary Batis leads the Aggies in digs with just under 3.6 a game.
Jayhawk senior Emily Brown recorded her third triple-double of the season Oct. 17 against Baylor by tallying a team-high 14 kills, 14 digs, and 27 assists. Senior Natalie Uhart leads Kansas in attack percentage by hitting for a team-best .281 this season.
