The Texas A&M baseball team cruised to an 18-2 opening day victory Friday night against Wright State.

More than 7,300 fans crammed into Olsen Field to witness the Aggies' run parade. It was the second largest season opener crowd in program history.

The Aggies took advantage of a ten-run inning in the sixth to jump out to a 15-1 lead. Freshman shortstop Adam Smith hit a homerun and a triple in the inning.

Sophomore southpaw Brooks Raley started for the Aggies, pitching six innings and striking out six.

Senior Luke Anders, who led A&M in hit by pitch in 2008, was hit twice in the game.

Raiders' third baseman Quentin Cate led Wright State with three hits and one RBI.
