The Texas A&M Aggies are six outs away from a game one victory in the Houston Super Regional thanks to an amazing double play.

The Owls led off the seventh inning with a base hit by the speedy Brian Friday. Two batters later, Rice slugger Jess Buenger drilled a long fly ball to right field, but Dane Carter made the catch for the second out.

A cutoff throw to shortstop by Carter and then a bullet from short to third thrown by Brandon Hicks retired Friday, who had tagged up. Brian Ruggiano made the tag for the Aggies.

Three important outs made by A&M in the seventh inning. Aggies still lead the Owls 2-1.
