In response to Pro/Con Black History Month article on Thursday:

After reading the article, I think it's somewhat comical that anybody could derive Black History Month as being harmful to African-Americans or any group in general. Based on the comments, it seems that the greatest injustice the writer has had to endure due to Black History Month as a white male is learning a little bit extra about the civil war and Martin Luther King. Plus, let's face it: Black History Month does not lead people to think of black people "as black people instead of accomplished scientists, businessmen, astronauts and politicians." Come on. It won't hurt anybody to keep Black History Month around.
