Don't like cameras? Don't run red lights

Let's be honest. The reason why people oppose the red-light cameras in College Station is because they are afraid they are going to get ticketed for running a red light. It is a fact that it is against the law to run a red light. It is also a fact that it is incredibly dangerous for someone to do so, yet I have seen people do it many times in College Station. The arguments I have heard do not pass the BS test: driver of the vehicle is not the owner of the vehicle, invasion of privacy, machines are taking over mankind. If you let someone drive your vehicle, chances are you know them and will make them pay the ticket. These cameras are in a public place, not in your home, and they see no more than anyone else on the street sees. An official reviews the ticket before it is sent out. Until I hear a better argument against the cameras, I'm going to support them.
